Calcite, Chihuahua, Mexico

FireViper

Another specimen from an old collection, this one an interesting calcite from Chihuahua, Mexico . Anyway, though this one looks like it had a run in with vat of acid, it's still pretty cool. The patterns, shapes and tones are really nice. Though brightest in LW, the other wavelengths offer more subtle beauty. About six inches across and shown in MW, SW, LW and natural. The yellow bands are somewhat phosphorescent, but it's not shown here.
