Catapleiite is not a well known mineral, nor is it very common in fluorescent collections. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean it's particularly valuable. This piece is a surprisingly nice example of the material, surprisingly only because it was covered with gunk when purchased. Anyway, it cleaned up quite nicely. The bright green is the Catapleiite and the dull red is most likely feldspar. The piece is about 4 inches by 2 3/4 inches. Shown in shortwave and natural.
