Norbergite from the Limecrest Quarry, Sussex County (Franklin Area), NJ

Some of the best examples of norbergite is found in the areas around the Franklin Nj, especially at the Limecrest Quarry, Sparta, Sussex Co., where it formed in well-shaped, flesh-colored crystals and yellow to brown embedded grains. The type locality for norbergite is the Östanmossa mine, Norberg, Västmanland, Sweden. Notable occurrences are found in the marbles of Mogok, Burma (Myanmar), sometimes producing large gemmy crystals of Norbergite.
