Sphalerite, Microcline; Taylor Road, Franklin, NJ

FireViper

Sphalerite and microcline from the Taylor Road site in Franklin, New Jersey is quite beautiful stuff. There may even be a smidge of chlorophane in this piece as well. The matrix is extremely hard and the material is very difficult to break apart. However, the work is worth the reward. This one is a small piece off of a bigger rock, but has great coverage. The sphalerite is pink, the microcline is blue and the chlorophane is the tiny speck of teal. Shown in longwave, shortwave and natural.
