Two Generations of Calcite from Missouri

Chris Clemens

This is an interesting specimen consisting of what appears to be two generations of calcite and areas of drusy quartz, on a limestone matrix. This specimen is from Missouri (no other location information available), and shows a similar response under all UV wavelengths- the calcite shows creamy white fluorescence with green phosphorescence. The quartz is not fluorescent. The size of this specimen is 69 x 44 x 36 mm.
