Scapolite Crystal, Yates Mine, Québec, Canada

This is a particularly well-formed, terminated, single, crystal of fluorescent scapolite from the Yates mine, Otter Lake, Québec, Canada. This large, blocky crystal fluoresces moderate red under short wave UV, and shows a blue white response under both mid and long wave UV. The size of this specimen is 36 x 30 x 24 mm.
