A single, large, root beer-colored fluorite cube with minor translucent celestine, from the Stoneco White Rock Quarry, Clay Center, Ottawa Co., Ohio. The fluorite shows a strong white zonal fluorescent response with phosphorescence under long wave UV, characteristic of fluorite from the Clay Center, OH, location. The celestine fluoresces dim purple under long wave UV. The fluorite shows a blue/white response with phosphorescence under short wave UV. The fluorescence in the Clay Center fluorites is likely due to the presence of an organic activator. The size of this specimen is 37 x 37 x 34 mm.
