California has a wide variety of minerals from a wide variety of locales. Here is a scapolite from Valyermo, in the High Desert area of California. Brightest in longwave, but the specimen has some interesting, though not very bright unknowns in shortwave. A big piece, around 6 by 4 inches. Shown in LW, SW, MW and natural.
