Small delicate crystal florets of yellow fluorescing quartz needles

are peppered around a matrix of calcite on this striking specimen. Not often do we find quartz crystals fluorescing yellow like this. There is a bit of aragonite at the upper right corner.

From left to right: short/longwave, shortwave, longwave, longwave close up, midwave, daylight, daylight close up. ISO-100, f/11 2.5 seconds for UV pictures. 10 inches across. 5 pounds 2 ounces.
