Johnbaumite From The Franklin Mine

John Rofrano

There is a prior post which displays Johnbaumite from Sweden and gives its history. The shortwave fluorescence was a lilac shade. The Johnbaumite from the Franklin Mine fluoresces a pumpkin orange under shortwave ultraviolet light. The brighter orange in the picture is calcite.

The piece is 1 ounce and measures 1 1/2 x 1 x 1/4 inches. ISO-100 f/11 2.5 seconds for the SW picture. No longwave fluorescence and midwave fluorescence is a dim version of that of SW - neither are pictured
