Fluorescent & Phosphorescent Calcite With Fluorescent Quartz From East Gray's Quarry, Wyomin

Calcite from this locale is know for fluorescing different colors when exposed to different wavelengths of ultraviolet light. This one has a vug lined with calcite. Within the calcite are druzy crystals of quartz. From left to right, SW, LW, MW, daylight and phosphorescence. Calcite fluoresces [in same order] blue, yellow, green. ISO-100 f/11 2 seconds exposure for UV pictures. There is a blue white calcite phosphorescence when the SW and MW lamps are removed. 12 ounces 4 1/2 x 3 x 1 1/4 inches.
